Abstract


This article will focus on how immigration relates to policy of states in cementing
their regional peace and security. After World War II, European states started to
engage in the long process of Treaty of Rome that freedoms of movement should
be achieved between member states for workers. European integration project, in
the context of economic and political liberalism by globalization, focuses on
removal of borders. The movement across the EU’s internal borders become
easier for those common red passport, the states which promote this movement
has to make common policy for those people who wish to enter Europe. The
development of asylum and immigration policy is an important tool for setting an
integrated identity. In order to make clearly defining the boundary between “them
and us” related to between migration and regional security which this research
will be focused in Europe and North America.
