Abstract


One of transnational crime is drug trafficking was appointed writer. Drugstrafficking problem is one part of the threat of transnational crime is being inthe spotlight, both in the national and international community. Formulationof the problem is how the role of the ASEAN Senior Officials on DrugsMatters (ASOD) in tackling Drugs Trafficking in Thailand from 2005 to2010?. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the ASEANSenior Officials on Drugs Matters (ASOD) in tackling the country DrugsTrafficking in Thailand from 2005 to 2010. Authors found understanding ofthe drug trafficking problem. Basically the drug trafficking problem can bedivided into three inter-related parts, the first issue of illegal drugproduction, trafficking is illegal and the second trading illegally. This isallegedly a threat to the security of the international system among thecountries involved in the production, trafficking and abuse. The phenomenonof increasing transnational crime is a non-conventional threats, at this pointhas become a major part of the ASEAN countries. This is reasonable becausethis type of crime knows no boundaries of sovereignty.
